The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending February 19 and Titans forward Michael Young was named the East Division’s second star of the week while fellow forward Levente Keresztes was named honorable mention.
Young had six total points (5 goals and 1 assist) in this past weekend’s sweep over the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks. Young had a paid of goals in Friday’s 6 – 2 victory, and he had a hat trick and an assist in Saturday’s 7 – 2 win.
Young leads the Titans in total points with 49 (22 goals and 27 assists) and goals (22). The Kings Point, NY native is seventh overall in the league in total points.
This is the eighth time this season that Young has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was named honorable mention for the East Division’s star of the week for weeks ending October 2 and February 5; second star of the week for week ending November 6; first star weeks ending January 8 and 22 and NAHL forward of the month for December as well as honorable mention for forward of the month in January.
Keresztes had seven points (all assists) this past weekend. He had two assists in Friday’s win, and he had five points in Saturday’s victory. On the season, the Budapest, Hungry native is second on the team in total points (16 goals and 28 assists).
This is the third time this season that Keresztes has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was honorable mentioned for week ending October 9, and he was second star of the week for week ending December 18.
