Weekend Preview

Oct 27, 2023

Fresh off a weekend sweep of the Rochester Jr Americans, the New Jersey Titans are preparing for a special weekend at home against the Johnstown Tomahawks.  With games on Friday, October 27th at 7:30pm, and Saturday, October 28th at 7:00pm, the Titans will be wearing special breast cancer awareness uniforms that will be auctioned off to raise money for Breast Intentions, a crisis intervention charity founded in Middletown in 2007.  Fans wishing to bid on these jerseys are invited to place a bid on their favorite player’s uniform by following this link.

This is the second weekend of competition between New Jersey and Johnstown, with the teams splitting the first matchup in Western Pennsylvania two weekends ago.  The first game, a 4-2 Titans’ victory, saw goals from Reece Brednich, Ethan Wongus, and a pair by Nikita Meshcheryakov for the Russian’s first multigoal game in the NAHL.  Meshcheryakov then scored another two in the rematch, but a late tie breaking goal and a pair of empty net goals gave the Tomahawks a 6-4 win.

New Jersey and Johnstown currently sit in the final two playoff positions in the East Division, with New Jersey up by one point in the standings, although Johnstown has two games in hand on the Titans.  Both games will be streamed on NAHLtv.
