The New Jersey Titans have pointed their bus westward and started the trek to Johnstown, PA, for their first two meetings against the Tomahawks this season. Last season, the Titans found success at the 1st Summer Arena at the Cambria County War Memorial, recording a 7-1-0 record against Johnstown, including three wins in Pennsylvania.
Coming into the weekend, New Jersey currently sits in 7th place in the nine team East Division with 10 points, one point out of a playoff position. Johnstown is in 4th place with a 6-5-1 record. Both teams will look to change their recent fortunes, as both are currently on three game losing streaks. Last weekend, New Jersey dropped both games to the Maryland Black Bears, while the Tomahawks were swept by Rochester in the first meeting between franchises.
Offensively, the Titans will be led by Dominik Bartecko with 12 points, and Johnny McMahon with 9. Sporting a balanced attack, Johnstown is paced by Will Lawrence and Justin Gibson, both with 10 points. Last year, Bartecko recorded a goal and two assists against Johnstown.
On Friday, faceoff is scheduled for 7:30pm at the 1st Summit Arena at the Cambria County War Memorial, and at 7:00pm on Saturday. The games can be watched live on NAHLtv.
