Training Camp Underway

Aug 22, 2023

Newly sharpened skates are cutting into fresh ice with training camp underway in Middletown. The New Jersey Titans took to the ice for the first time as a team today as the 2022 Robertson Cup Champions prepare to begin their 2023-24 campaign.

With three preseason games in the next nine days, Head Coach Craig Doremus knows the time to be focused is now.  Before the team took to the ice for the second session of the day, Doremus told the assembled players, “Training camp is when we’re building the foundations of how we want to play and the habits we want to use. Let’s use this time to push the pace, push each other, and hold each other accountable.  If you guys are pushing each other to be your best . . . the more its going to raise your game, and the more its going to raise our team’s game.”

With Day 1 in the books, only 6 on ice sessions remain before New Jersey takes to the ice for their first preseason game vs the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks at 8:00pm on Friday, August 25th.  Discounted tickets will be available at the door for only $5.

The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are entering their ninth season at the Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, NJ.  The Titans have made the playoffs in every season of their existence and were the 2022 Robertson Cup National Champions.  Season ticket packages will be available soon, in time for the 2023-24 season home opener versus the Rochester Jr. Americans on September 29th.  Follow the New Jersey Titans on FacebookTwitterInstagram, and TikTok today!
