The New Jersey Titans have announced today that the team has tendered Oakville Blades (OJHL) defenseman Owen Luik for the 2021-22 season.
Luik, 19, had 15 points (2 goals and 13 assists) in 47 games during the 2019-20 season for the Blades. The 5’11”, 200 lb. native of Oakville, ON is a left-handed shot.
“I would like to thank Kyle Shapiro, Craig Doremus, Gary Biggs and the New Jersey Titans for this opportunity to play in the NAHL. I’m looking forward to trying to help the team compete for a Robertson Cup and working towards my goal of becoming an NCAA D1 hockey player. I also want to thank Jamie Storr, Jamie Allison, Ross Sloan and the Oakville Blades for helping me develop the past two seasons to take this step” stated Luik
“We are excited to add Owen to our hockey team next season” said Titans assistant coach Kyle Shapiro. “Owen is a gifted skater and has elite puck moving skills. His junior experience is something we admired about him as he has already played at a high level. We are looking forward to having him in Middletown at the end of July as we build our hockey team for next season” concluded Shapiro.
