On Thursday morning, over 100 players will compete for roster spots in the New Jersey Titans’ main camp at Middletown Sports Complex.
The camp is open to the public and will give fans a first-look at the 2018-19 Titans, as the team prepares for its fourth season in New Jersey.
“Camp is a very exciting part of the season. While it’s the start of a new 2018-19 season, it’s also the culmination of a long season of work by our scouting staff,” said Titans head coach Craig Doremus.
“These guys have worked tirelessly throughout the season to identify players to come to our main camp and compete for a spot on our roster. This camp should be extremely competitive and we are so excited to get it started Thursday morning.”
Eight teams will play three scrimmages between Thursday and Friday before the first round of cuts are made. Once the rosters are adjusted, six teams will play in two more scrimmages; one on Friday night and one Saturday morning.
After the scrimmages, the Titans staff will assemble the All-Star rosters. Two games will be played on Saturday night, and one last game will take place on Sunday morning. The camp will conclude with a team meeting and exit interviews with the players.
