The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Joe Schubert has committed to play NCAA Division 1 Ice Hockey for the Air Force Falcons, who represent the United States Air Force Academy. The Falcons play in the Atlantic Hockey Conference (AHC). His commitment begins in the fall of 2022.
Schubert, 18, is in his first season with the Titans. The Okauchee Lake, WI native has played in six games so far and is currently tied for most points on the team (six) and goals (three).
“I would like to thank my family, teammates and coaches who have supported me through my career” stated Schubert. “I am excited for more to come” concluded Schubert.
“We are extremely proud of Joe on his commitment to Air Force” stated Titans head coach and general manager Craig Doremus. “Coach Serratore and his staff do an excellent job with their program. Joe’s desire to attend Air Force was evident from day one and he has worked extremely hard to get to this point. Joe is a very good, young player who has a big-time ceiling. We are excited to see him grow and produce for us throughout his junior career before he goes off to Air Force. We want to wish him and his family congratulations on their commitment to the Air Force Academy.”
The Air Force Academy is in Colorado Springs, CO. The Falcons are coached by Frank Serratore. Last season the Air Force Academy had an overall record of 12-18-6. Their 2020-21 season is schedule to begin the weekend of November 27-28.
