The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that assistant captain and forward Chris Garbe has committed to play NCAA Division III Ice Hockey for the Middlebury College Panthers, who play in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCA). His commitment begins in the fall of 2020.
Garbe, 20, is in his third season with the Titans. During his first two years, Garbe had 38 points (16 goals and 22 assists) in 96 games. The Miller Place, NY native has 14 points (7 goals and 7 assists) in twenty-six games in this season.
“I am excited to announce my commitment to play hockey and further my academics at Middlebury College” stated Garbe. “! I’d like to thank my family, coaches, teammates, trainers, and everyone who has helped me along the way” concluded Garbe.
“We are so proud and happy for Chris and the Garbe family” stated head coach and general manager Craig Doremus. “Chris is such a special young man. He has worked extremely hard to get to this point in his career. Chris has been a pillar for our program since the day he arrived in Middletown. His preparation and approach to the game has had such an influence on his peers. Chris is obviously a huge part of our team and is critical to our success in the long term this year. As one of our assistant captains he continues to help lead our franchise this season as we battle through the regular season in pursuit of a Robertson Cup championship” concluded Doremus.
