The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Joe Nagle has committed to play NCAA Division I Ice Hockey for the University of New Hampshire Wildcats, who play in the Hockey East Conference. His commitment begins in the fall of 2020.
Nagle, 20, is a four-year veteran of the North American Hockey League with his entire junior career played with the Northeast Generals until he was acquired as part of a three-team trade with the Titans back on February 5. He was the Generals team captain. The Weymouth, MA native has 53 total points (6 goals and 47 assists) in 149 games, including seven with the Titans (he has one point (an assist) in seven games with New Jersey).
Nagle was a member of the NAHL’s East Division’s team during last week’s Top Prospects Tournament.
“I would like to thank God, my family, my friends, Lovell Hockey, the Northeast Generals and the New Jersey Titans” stated Nagle. “I’m excited to finally know where I’m playing next year. Now I can focus on helping my team win a Robertson Cup” concluded Nagle.
“Joe has been everything as advertised since acquiring him from the Generals” stated Titans head coach Craig Doremus. “Joe is a veteran defenseman who has added another level of maturity and experience on the ice and in the dressing room. Joe is a solid defender and a good puck mover. We are super happy for Joe and his family as he achieves a long-time goal in playing Division I hockey. Congrats to Joe and the Nagle family on all their hard work. We look forward to Joe being a huge part of our run in the Robertson Cup playoffs”
The University of New Hampshire is in Durham, NH. The Wildcats are coached by Mike Souza. They currently have a 9-10-1 record.
