The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Eric Charpentier has committed to play NCAA Division 1 Ice Hockey for the Big Green of Dartmouth College who play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). His commitment begins in the fall of September 2023.
The Silver Springs, MD native had 20 total points (2 goals and 18 assists) in 56 regular season games with a +26. He had four points (all assists) in all 13 playoff games during the team’s national championship run.
“I’m very excited to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at Dartmouth College” said Charpentier. “I’d like to thank all my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me along the way. I would like to especially thank Craig, Bobby, and Shaps for all they have done” concluded Charpentier.
“We are so proud of Eric and his family on this accomplishment” stated Titans head coach and general manager Craig Doremus. “Eric was terrific for us last year and will be an even bigger part of our team this upcoming season. Eric was a stabilizing force for us on the blueline all season. He was a huge part of our capturing the Robertson Cup and we look forward to him leading us towards that very same goal this year. I think the most exciting part is that Eric hasn’t even scratched the surface of who he is as a hockey player. He is only getting better and better. Eric is a tremendous young man and hockey player. Eric came to us nearly two years ago and has just come to work each day to get better, bigger and stronger. We couldn’t be happier that he was rewarded for believing in the process and staying committed our program” said Doremus.
Dartmouth College is in Hanover, NH. The Big Green are coached by Reid Cashman.
