Jun 10, 2022

The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Anthony Mollica has committed to play NCAA Division 1 Ice Hockey for the St. Lawrence University Saints who play in the ECAC Conference. His commitment begins in the fall of September 2022.

In two seasons with the Titans, Mollica accumulated 36 total points (13 goals and 23) in 93 games. This season the Hudsonville, MI native had 21 total points (8 goals and 13 assists) in 50 games. He had three total points (2 goals and 1 assist) in 13 games during the Titans run to the 2022 Robertson Cup championship.

He was the East Division Star of the Week for week ending November 28, 2021.

“I couldn’t be happier to end the season the way we did with a Robertson cup” stated Mollica. “I would like to thank all my teammates for supporting all the highs and lows I went through all season long. I also would like to thank Craigy, Bobby, and Shaps for the past two years of developing me into a better hockey player and better person as well as SPL for making me a stronger and more agile athlete. And, most importantly, I would like to thank my family for supporting me throughout all of juniors and always being there for me. I couldn’t be more excited and humbled for the opportunity I have to play division 1 hockey at Saint Lawrence University” concluded Mollica.

“What an incredible end to Anthony’s story with us” stated Titans head coach and general manager Craig Doremus. “Anthony is a great young man who worked long and hard during his time here in New Jersey.  I think Anthony’s game continued to elevate after the holiday break and really took off even more in the playoffs.  Anthony is a big, powerful defenseman who knows how to defend and uses his smarts, skating and heavy shot to contribute offensively.  I think it is a great fit for him at St. Lawrence and we are all excited to watch his college career begin.  We appreciate all his contributions to our Robertson Cup season and wish Anthony and the Mollica family nothing but good luck in the future” said Doremus.

St. Lawrence University is in Canton, NY. The Saints are coached by Brent Brekke.
