With the collegiate schedule fully underway, the New Jersey Titans are proud of their 80+ alumni currently playing NCAA hockey.
This week saw some Titans’ alumni come up with big goals to lead their teams to victory. Ryan Naumovski (2016-19) scored the game winner and added two assists as the Augustana Augies defeated Northern Michigan by a 5-3 score. After recording 105 points in 114 games for New Jersey, Naumovski is the current NCAA Division I Ironman leader with 146 consecutive games played. Zack Nazzarett (2018-21) potted the game winning goal for Long Island University as they knocked off Ivy League foe Yale University 3-1. It was the first goal of the season for the New York native. Robertson Cup Champions Marcus Sang (2020-23) and Sylas Oberting (2021-23) teamed up for their first collegiate points, with Oberting sending Sang on a coast to coast rush resulting in Sang’s first goal for the Tufts Jumbos in a 7-4 win over Williams College.
Elsewhere, Jimmy Dowd Jr. (2017-18) recorded his 6th assist in his past 8 games in a 6-3 triumph over the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Pt Pleasant Beach native ranks 8th all time for scoring by a defenseman for the Nittany Lions. At Mercyhurst, Kyler Head (2016-20) recorded an assist in both games and Tommy Bannister (2020-22) scored Saturday night as the Lakers took 3 of 4 points against Canisius, a 3-3 tie and a 5-1 win. Jake Suede (2020-21) continued to contribute at Adrian, recording a goal and 2 assists in an 8-0 romp over Concordia. The former captain now has 3 goals and 8 assists in 11 games for the Bulldogs
