The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending December 15 and Titans goaltender Patrick Pugliese was named the East Division’s second star while forward Matthew Iasenza was honorable mention.
Pugliese allowed four goals in two games posting a 2.00 goals against average and .936 save percentage with a 2 – 0 record.
The Pasadena, CA native has played in seventeen games this season and has a 14 – 2 – 0 – 1 record with a 2.62 goals against average and .919 save percentage with one shutout.
This is the fifth time this season Pugliese has received recognition from the league: honorable mention for weeks ending December 8, October 27, October 21 and September 22.
Iasenza had three points (2 goals and 1 assist) in three games. He scored in Wednesday’s 3 – 2 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights and then again in Friday’s 6 – 2 win over the Johnstown Tomahawks.
Iasenza has thirteen points (6 goals and 7 assists) in twenty-one games this season. This is the first time that the Quebec, CA native has received league honors. He is the tenth member of the Titans to be recognized by the league.
