The New Jersey Titans will take to the ice for three preseason games in August before beginning the regular season on the second weekend of September. The preseason begins with a pair of home games vs the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks on Friday, August 25th and Saturday, August 26th. Both games will start at 8:00pm, and discounted tickets for $5.00 will be available for purchase at the door.
Last season, the Titans swept the season series against Danbury, winning all twelve games by a combined score of 56 to 24. Danbury finished at the bottom of the East Division with a record of 6-47-7. New Jersey’s leading returning forward, Dominick Bartecko, recorded 2 goals and 6 assists in 8 games against the Jr. Hat Tricks.
New Jersey will conclude their preseason schedule with a road game at Philadelphia on Wednesday, August 30th, at 3:00pm. Philadelphia missed the playoffs by eight points, finishing 6th in the division with a record of 27-30-3. Despite this, they won the season series over New Jersey with a record of 4 wins in regulation, 1 in overtime, and 3 losses. Last year, the Rebels were led by David Deputy with 53 points in 60 games.
