Preseason Preview

Aug 23, 2023

The New Jersey Titans will take to the ice for three preseason games in August before beginning the regular season on the second weekend of September.  The preseason begins with a pair of home games vs the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks on Friday, August 25th and Saturday, August 26th.  Both games will start at 8:00pm, and discounted tickets for $5.00 will be available for purchase at the door.

Last season, the Titans swept the season series against Danbury, winning all twelve games by a combined score of 56 to 24.  Danbury finished at the bottom of the East Division with a record of 6-47-7. New Jersey’s leading returning forward, Dominick Bartecko, recorded 2 goals and 6 assists in 8 games against the Jr. Hat Tricks.

New Jersey will conclude their preseason schedule with a road game at Philadelphia on Wednesday, August 30th, at 3:00pm.  Philadelphia missed the playoffs by eight points, finishing 6th in the division with a record of 27-30-3.  Despite this, they won the season series over New Jersey with a record of 4 wins in regulation, 1 in overtime, and 3 losses.  Last year, the Rebels were led by David Deputy with 53 points in 60 games.

The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are entering their ninth season at the Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, NJ.  The 2022 Robertson Cup National Champions, the Titans have made the playoffs in every season since their founding in 2015.  Season ticket packages will be available soon, in time for the 2023-24 season home opener versus Rochester on September 29th.  Follow the New Jersey Titans on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok today!
