Outzen named East Division’s second star of the week while Jeffers is honorable mention

The North American Hockey League announced today its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending March 2 and Titans forward Michael Outzen was named the East Division’s second star while fellow forward Kyle Jeffers was honorable mention.

Outzen had five points (1 goal and 4 assists) in three games last week. He scored a goal in the contest in last Wednesday’s matinee game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights; he had three assists in Friday’s 7 – 5 win over the Northeast Generals, and he had an assist in Saturday’s 4 – 2 win over Northeast.

The Highlands Ranch, CO native is third on the team with fifty-four total points (18 goals and 36 assists). This is the fourth time this season that the Outzen has been recognized by the league, the three other times he was honorable mention for February 2, January 26 and December 22.

Jeffers had six total points (2 goals and 4 assists) in last week’s games. He had an assist in the contest against the Knights and he had two goals and three assists in Friday’s slugfest win against the Generals.

The Oviedo, FL native is second on the team with fifty-seven total points (23 goals and 34 assists) and tied for most goals (23). This is the seventh time this season that Jeffers has received league recognition. He was second star of the week for week ending December 1 and January 19, honorable mention for week ending November 17, December 8 and February 2, and he was the star of the week for week ending October 6.
