The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending February 7 and Titans forward Zach Nazzarett was named the East Division’s First Star of the Week while teammate Nick Seitz was named honorable mention.
Nazzarett had five points (1 goal and 4 assists) in the Titans two games last week. He had a goal and three assists in last Wednesday’s 6 – 2 win over the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks, and he had two assists in last Thursday’s 6 – 5 win over the Johnstown Tomahawks.
“Zach has been a big addition to our hockey team since rejoining us before the holidays” stated Titans head coach Craig Doremus. “He has provided a consistent offensive threat and be a positive leader in our dressing room. Last week he led the way for us offensively and the team was able to collect two big wins. Zach has great vision and poise on the ice and makes everyone else on the ice dangerous. We look forward to having him continue to be a big part of our club down the stretch” concluded Doremus.
Nazzarett has 14 points (6 goals and 8 assists) in twelve games played this season.
Seitz had three goals last week. He hit the back of the net twice in the win over Danbury and opened the scoring in the Titans win over Johnstown. The New York, NY native has 16 points (4 goals and 12 assists) in 15 games this season.
This is the first time this season the either player has been recognized for the league’s weekly/month awards.
