The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending November 28 and Titans defenseman Anthony Mollica was named the East Division’s star of the week while forward Nick Ring was named honorable mention.
Mollica had five points (2 goals and 3 assists) during this past weekend’s two-game sweep over the Maine Nordiques. He recorded a goal and an assist in Friday’s 7 – 3 win, and he had a goal and two assists in Saturday’s 8 – 2 victory. During Saturday’s game he recorded a “Gordie Howe” hat trick which is comprise of a goal, an assist, and a fight.
“Anthony has continued his strong play and was big for us in our two victories over Maine” said Titans head coach Craig Doremus. “He was able to contribute big time offensively for us. Anthony was able to make some nice plays with pucks to the net and was able to find soft areas of ice both nights to find the back of the net. Anthony is a talented young man who has played a big role on our team since joining us last year. We look forward to Anthony continuing to help lead us in our pursuit of the Robertson Cup Playoffs” concluded Doremus.
On the season, the Hudsonville, MI native has twelve points (4 goals and 8 assists) in 24 games played.
Ring also had five points (all assists) during this weekend’s sweep. He had an assist in Friday’s contest and four in Saturday’s game. The Hingham, MA native is fifth on the team with 18 total points (4 goals and 14 assists).
