Meshcheryakov Scores on Day 2 of Top Prospects

Feb 7, 2024

Nikita Meshcheryakov joined his Titans teammates on Tuesday by finding the back of the net on Day 2 of the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, Pennsylvania.

The Princeton commit sparked a short third period comeback for his Selects Gold team, stocked with players identified by the NHL Central Scouting Bureau, with a wrist shot from the top of the circle that found it’s way past Team South’s Jack Wieneke, assisted by Chippewa’s Cam Springer and Janeville’s Garrett Frazer. Less than a minute later, the Selects Gold would score again to cut the deficit to three, but ultimately fell to Team South by a 7-3 score.

In the game prior, Ethan Wongus and Dominick Rivelli could not recreate yesterday’s magic as Team East fell to the Central by a 4-0 score. The Central did not concede a goal in either game they played.

Now back in Middletown, Meshcheryakov, Wongus, and Rivelli have rejoined their teammates as the Titans prepare for a Tuesday night clash at home against the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:30pm.
