The New Jersey Titans are proud to celebrate the first professional contract signed by Kyle Jeffers with the Savannah Ghost Pirates of the ECHL. He becomes the 30th player to jump to the professional ranks in North America after wearing a New Jersey Titans sweater. A star at St. Joseph’s High School in Metuchen, New Jersey, Jeffers played for New Jersey from 2017 to 2020. His 166 games played remains a franchise record, and he held the franchise records for goals, assists, and points when he left after the 2020 season to begin his collegiate career with American International College. Transferring to Lindenwood for his sophomore season, Jeffers helped to guide the program as it transitioned to the NCAA Division I level, ultimately putting up 38 points in 60 total NCAA games.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Kyle for signing his first professional contract,” said Head Coach and General Manager Craig Doremus. Doremus coached Jeffers for all 4 season in New Jersey. “Kyle is a long time New Jersey Titan. He advanced to college through the NAHL after developing in Middletown in the Titans’ youth program. He continues to grow and progress both on and off the ice, starting his professional career after a stellar NCAA career. We couldn’t be happier for him and are proud to have him represent our organization every day.”
Since signing, Jeffers has already potted his first professional goal and also recorded an assist in his first three games with Savannah.
