The North American Hockey League has announced its Bauer Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending October 20 and Titans forward Josef Glamos was named the East Division’s Star of the Week while teammate Patrick Pugliese was named honorable mention.
Glamos had three points (2 goals and 1 assist) in this past weekend’s sweep over the Maine Nordiques. He had two goals in Friday’s 6 – 1 win and had an assist in Saturday’s 5 – 2 victory.
“Joe has really continued to grow as a player” stated head coach Craig Doremus. “He and his line mates have worked really hard on their identity and embraced what makes them successful. Joe has really worked hard on and off the ice to become a consistent player in our lineup. This past weekend he was able to be a big part of our offensive attack and played a big role on the penalty kill. Joe was named one of our assistant captains this past weekend and we look forward to him continuing to lead our team and we strive to qualify for the Robertson Cup playoffs,” concluded Doremus.
In twelve games, the Baldwinsville, NY native has six points (3 goals and 3 assists). Glamos is the third Titans’ player to be named Star of the Week this season.
While having a 1.00 goals against average and a .964 save percentage in Friday night’s win, Pugliese was simply stellar in his performance, having to come up with several keys saves, including a few Grade A.
In seven appearances this season, the Pasadena, CA native has 2.56 goals against average and .914 save percentage. This is the second time this season that Pugliese has been named honorable mention (September 22).
