Geraci Commits to Wesleyan

Feb 29, 2024

The New Jersey Titans are proud to announce the commitment of defenseman Jake Geraci to Wesleyan University.  Though he has been out with an injury for the past four games, the Old Tappan, New Jersey native has recorded a goal and five assists in 35 games played in his first season in the NAHL.

Playing out of the historic Spurrier-Snyder Rink on their campus in Middletown, Connecticut, the Cardinals are led by Chris Potter.  Potter has been the Head Coach at Wesleyan for the past 21 season, winning the NESCAC Championship for the first time in program history in 2020.  He has been named the NESCAC Coach of the Year four times in his tenure, most recently last season.

“I am thrilled to get the opportunity to attend such a prestigious school to obtain a world-class education and to begin my NCAA career,” said Geraci.  “I’m really looking forward to playing for Coach Potter and wearing the Cardinals’ uniform for the next four years.  Wesleyan perfectly aligns with everything I was looking for in a college, and I couldn’t be happier to join them.  I’d like to thank my parents for their support in getting me to this point, and to my coaches and teammates for pushing me to be better every day, both as a hockey player and as a person.”

New Jersey Titans Head Coach and General Manager Craig Doremus said, “We are very proud of Jake and for his family on his commitment to Wesleyan.  Jake joined our team early this season and helped to stabilize our blue line.  He has a blue collar approach to his game that meshed well with our team.”  Doremus continued, “Jake is an extremely smart young man and this is the perfect spot for him to continue both academically and athletically.  We look forward to Jake rejoining our lineup as we pursue the Robertson Cup.”
