The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending February 6 and Titans forward Billy Faczko was named the East Division’s second star of the week while fellow forward Michael Young was named honorable mention.
It was a great first week for the recently acquired Faczko. The 6’1” 190 lb. native from Palo Heights, IL had five points (2 goals and 3 assists) in this past weekend’s sweep over the visiting Northeast Generals. Faczko had a goal and two assists in Friday’s 7 – 2 victory, and he had a goal and assist in Saturday’s 6 – 3 win. On the season, Faczko had 19 total points (6 goals and 13 assists) in 32 games.
Young had four points (3 goals and 1 assist) over the weekend. The 5’11”, 180 lb. native from Kings Park, NY had a goal in Friday’s romp, and the had a pair of goals and an assist in Saturday’s victory. Young his fifth on the team with 27 total points (10 goals and 17 assists) in 37 games.
This is the second time this season that Young received weekly/monthly league honors. He was honorable mention for week ending October 10.
