The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending October 2 and Titans forward Brendan Dumas was named the East Division’s star of the week while fellow forward Anthony Calafiore was named honorable mention.
Dumas had seven total points (2 goals and 5 assists) in this past weekend’s split with the Maryland Black Bears. He had three assists in Friday’s game and a pair of goals and assists in Saturday’s 6 – 2 win.
“Brendan really stepped up his game and efforts this past weekend. Brendan hasn’t much puck luck early in the year and this past weekend he was able to really get on track. His work ethic and effort were finally rewarded with a big two game effort against a good Maryland team,” said Titans head coach Craig Doremus.
The North Attleboro, MA native leads the team in total points with 13 (4 goals and 9 assists). This is the second straight week that Dumas has received weekly/monthly league recognition. Last week he was honorable mention.
Calafiore had six total points (1 goal and 5 assists) this past weekend. He had a goal and a pair of assists in Friday’s game and three assists in Saturday’s victory.
The Staten Island, NY native is second on the team in total points with ten (4 goals and 6 assists).
