The New Jersey Titans are pleased to announce that defenseman Brad Zona has signed a tender agreement with the team for the 2019-2020 season.
Zona is a ’00-born defenseman from Auburn, Massachusetts who currently plays for Cushing Academy and the Eastern Mass. Senators U18 squad. In eight games with the Senators, Zona has one goal and two assists.
When discussing the tender with the Titans, Zona expressed his excitement in advancing his hockey career to the junior level.
“Signing a tender agreement in the NAHL feels great because they have moved so many players to college hockey, and they thoroughly prepare you for the next level,” he said.
The 18-year-old defender will also be reunited with some of his former teammates. In the Senators’ 2017-18 season, Zona played alongside current Titans, Michael Outzen and Cam Gendron. In addition to the Senators, Outzen also played with Zona at Cushing Academy.
“The location and staff drew me to the Titans, as well as Outzen and Gendron,” Zona added. “They have said nothing but great things about the program, and their input and advice certainly helped me with the decision making. I am very excited to be a part of the organization!”
The Titans would like to congratulate Brad and his family on his decision to become a part of the organization.
