The New Jersey Titans are proud to announce that Dominik Bartecko has been named the Bauer East Division Star of the Week on the strength of 3 goals and 5 assists.
The Mercyhurst commit started the week with a goal and an assist on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Rebels and added a helper in New Jersey’s loss Friday night versus Johnstown. The Titans’ leading scorer then exploded for 5 points against the Tomahawks on Saturday night, with 3 assists and a pair of goals in the third period. Bartecko has already set new franchise highs this season with 48 assists and 76 points.
“Bart continues to drive the bus for us offensively. He has taken his game to an entirely different level,” said Head Coach and General Manager Craig Doremus. “Him and his line have found a nice chemistry and they have been effective for us night after night. Dom’s ability to be a leader for us has helped our team play a solid brand of hockey over the past two months. We are so proud of him and look forward to him continuing to lead our team as we head towards the Robertson Cup playoffs.”
Additionally, Nikita Meshcheryakov received an Honorable Mention with 3 goals and 3 assists. The Princeton commit is up to 21 goals and 18 assists in 45 games this season.
