Bartecko Commits to Mercyhurst

Nov 30, 2023

The New Jersey Titans are proud to announce the commitment of Dominik Bartecko to Mercyhurst University for the 2024-25 season.  Bartecko, acquired via trade from Amarillo last season, currently leads the Titans with 26 points in 24 games.  This season, he has recorded two 4 game point streaks, and had 2 goals and an assist in New Jersey’s last game against Philadelphia.  Now, Bartecko becomes the 10th Division I commit on the New Jersey roster, and the second to commit to Mercyhurst following Riley Fitzgerald.

“I am very thankful to be given this opportunity; my time here in New Jersey has been nothing but special,” said Bartecko.  “I’d like to thank my coaches and my teammates for getting me to this point.  Lastly, I thank my parents, since none of this would be possible without their never ending support.  Now, I look forward to finishing the season and chase the Robertson Cup”.

Head Coach and General Manager Craig Doremus said, “We are excited for Dom and the entire Bartecko family.  Dom came to New Jersey last year hungry and eager to earn a Division I opportunity.  He immediately became a big part of our forward group, and he has continued that with a strong start to this season.  We are proud of Bart and the work he has put in since coming here.”  Looking towards the future, Doremus said, “I think his best hockey is still ahead of him.  Mercyhurst is getting a young man who is extremely talented and smart.  We look forward to Dom being a huge part of our run to the Robertson Cup.”
