The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending October 24 and Titans forward Tommy Bannister was named the East Division’s Star of the week while fellow forward Brendan Dumas was named honorable mention.
Bannister had eight total points (5 goals and 3 assists) in three games this past week. He scored a natural hat trick in Wednesday’s 5 – 1 win over the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks. He had two goals and an assist in Friday’s 12 – 5 win over Maine and an assist in Saturday’s 4 – 1 win over the Nordiques.
“Tommy has come back in year two for us and been a consistent offensive force” said Titans Head Coach Craig Doremus. “He has matured in his game and him and line mates have been consistently effective. He plays big minutes for us in all roles on the ice and I am extremely proud of his Tommy and the results of all of his hard work” concluded Doremus.
Bannister leads the league in total points with 22 (11 goals and 11 assists). He is third in the league in goals.
This is the second straight week (honorable mention) that Bannister has received weekly/monthly league recognition and fourth overall. He was He was the East Division’s Second Star of the Week for week ending September 26 and honorable mentioned for forward of the month for September.
Dumas also had eight points (2 goals and 6 assists) in three games last week. He had three assists in the win over Danbury; He had a goal and assist in Friday’s contest and a goal and two assists in Saturday’s victory.
The is the second consecutive week that Dumas has received weekly/monthly league recognition. Last week he was second star of the week.
