Bannister and Young named honorable mention for NAHL’s East Division’s Star of the Week

The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending March 27 and Titans forwards Tommy Bannister and Michael Young were named honorable mention for the East Division.

Bannister had two points (both assists) in the Titans lone game last week, a 4 – 1 win at home over the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks. The Clayton, NY native leads the Titans with sixty total points (20 goals and 40 assists), and he is tenth overall in the league in total points. He is sixth in the league with the most assists (40). Bannister is one of six Titans who are in the top eleven in the league in +/- with a +25.

This is the seventh time this season that Bannister has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was the East Division’s Second Star of the Week for week ending September 26, honorable mention for weeks ending October 17, 24, November 7 and March 6, and honorable mentioned for forward of the month for September.

Young had two points (1 goal and 1 assist) in the Titans victory. The Kings Park, NY native is fifth on the team with 46 total points (22 goals and 24 assists), and he is seventh overall in the league among rookies in total points. He is fourth overall in the league in +/- with a +31.

This is the sixth time this season (and third in a row) that Young has received weekly/monthly league honors. He was star of the week for week ending March 13 and honorable mention for weeks ending March 20, February 27, February 6 and October 10.
