Stoever named East Division’s Goalie of the Year and to All-East Division team

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced its All-Division teams and honors for the 2020-21 season, and Titans netminder Christian Stoever was named the East Division’s Goalie of the Year as well as to the All-East Division team.

Stoever joined the Red Buckets in early February. He appeared in 22 games posting a 14-5-1-1 record with 2.61 goals against average and .931 save percentage with two shutouts. His .931 save percentage was third best in the league during the regular season.

During the regular season the Northville, MI native received weekly/monthly league recognition five times: He was the East Division’s Star of the Week for weeks ending May 2, March 7 and February 28, honorable for week ending February 21 as well as honorable mention for goalie of the month for February.

Stoever was phenomenal during the Titans playoff run posting a 2 – 3 record with a 2.00 goals against average with a sparkling .946 save percentage with one shutout.

The divisional teams and honors represent the four divisions in the NAHL: Central, East, Midwest and South Divisions, as voted upon and selected by the league’s 23 head coaches.  The awards are based on performance during the 2020-21 regular season.
