Girls U16 Team Wins First Tier I Game

Nov 18, 2012

The Lady Titans U16 team, playing Tier I for the first time in our short existance accomplished a milestone win in the club's history.  For the first time in Lady Titans history, the team won a Tier I game and defeated long time Girls Hockey powerhouse, the New Jersey Colonials in doing so.  The Titans fell behind on a first period Colonials goal, but after that, Titans goaltender, Katherine Livatova shut the door on the Colonials making great save after great save.  The Titans got a spark on a 2nd period goal from Jazz Van Loon on an assist to Brianna Haviland.  Late in the 3rd, on a Power Play, a Jess Haviland shot from the point snuck through the goaltender with 50 seconds remaining on assists from Brianna Haviland and Katie Leininger putting the Titans up for good and sending the Colonials back home in a state of shock amd giving Jess a fantastic birthday present.  What a win for the Girls, and congratulations to all involved.
