Weekend Preview: 12/3 & 12/4 – Titans two-game series with Rebels includes Teddy Bear Toss

The Titans will host a two-game series against the Jamestown Rebels this weekend at the Middletown Sports Complex with both Friday and Saturday night games starting at 7:30 PM. Saturday night’s contest is the annual Teddy Bear Toss in which all fans who bring a bear will receive a free ticket to the game. All bears will be donated to the Toys for Tots.

Rebels vs. Titans Overview
This will be the fifth and sixth meeting between the Rebels and Titans this season. The Titans have taken three out of four games by a combined score of 13 – 9. All four of the previous games have been played at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown. One of the Titans victories, back on September 25 was a shootout win after the Red Buckets game back from a three-goal deficit.

The last time the teams met was back on November 12 and 13 when the split the series with the Rebels winning the second game 3 – 2.

Jak Vaarwerk (1 goal and 3 assists) and former Titan Noah Szretter (3 goals and 1 assist) lead the Rebels with four points each against the Titans. Szretter has scored the most goals against the Red Buckets with three. Jamestown is 3 for 18 (17%) on the powerplay. The Rebels netminders have a 2.70 goals against average and .891 save percentage.

The Titans have converted on 16.8% (17 for 104) of their chances on the powerplay (19th in the league), and they have allowed four goals while on the man advantage. The Red Buckets are 81.7% efficient on the penalty kill (18th in the league). The Titans have scored four shorthand goals.
