Weekend Preview: 10/23 – 10/25 – Titans travel to Maine for three game series against Nordiques

The New Jersey Titans travel to Lewiston, ME this weekend to play a three-game series against the Maine Nordiques beginning tomorrow at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Friday and Saturday’s game begin at 7:00 PM while Sunday’s starts at 1:00 PM.

Titans and Nordiques Overview
Last season the Titans took six of eight games played between the two teams, and the Titans outscored the Nordiques by a score of 44 – 30. Both Titans losses were played at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. The last time they met was back on February 1 with the Titans winning 9 – 2 on the road.

Nordiques Overview

Titans Overview
The Titans are currently tied for third place in the East Division with a 1 -1-1-1 record for four points. They trail division leading Maryland by three points. Last weekend the Black Bears swept the Titans at the Middletown Sports Complex winning Friday night’s game 5 – 3 and 4 – 3 in a shootout in Saturday’s game.

The Titans have scored twelve goals (fifth in the league) while they have allowed 15 (eighth in the league). They have converted on 8.2% of their chances on the power play (ninth in the league) while they are eighth in the league on the penalty kill preventing the opposition from scoring 76.9% of their chances.
