The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American Hockey League, have announced today that the team has tendered Sioux Falls Power 18U AAA forward Heikki Virtanen.
Virtanen, 19, has 34 total points (19 goals and 15 assists) in 43 games this season with the Sioux Falls Power. The 6’5”, 205 lb. native of Pori, Finland, is a righthanded shot.
“I am extremely excited to become a part of the New Jersey Titans organization and I cannot wait to take it to the next level there. I also want to thank everybody who have helped along the way,” said Virtanen.
“Our scouts have identified Virtanen and have been a big fan of his for two years now. We are pleased with his progression this year at the Sioux Falls Power program and believe he has a super high ceiling as a player. Next year Virtanen will be a big piece to our line up with his size and skill.” said Titans Director of Scouting Gary Biggs.
