Titans sign Albrecht to a tender agreement

Nov 29, 2017

The New Jersey Titans are proud to announce that defenseman Nathan Albrecht has signed an NAHL tender agreement for the 2018-19 season.

Albrecht is a native of Pinconning, Mich. and is currently playing for Honeybaked U18 of the High Performance Hockey League. This week, he was able to practice with the Titans and made a great first impression with the players and coaching staff.

“I think what’s most impressive when you watch kids playing midget hockey, your question is always how he’s going to translate to the junior game,” said Titans head coach Craig Doremus. “While Nate didn’t get to dress in a game yet, he did go through practices with the hockey club and I thought he was able to acclimate himself very well to the pace, the tempo, the style of play and what we’re looking to execute on the ice.”

The right-handed defenseman talked about his experience in New Jersey and said the team made him feel welcome during his stay.

“All the guys welcomed me nicely and they’d give me a pat on the back if I did something wrong while telling me what to do. They really helped me out,” Albrecht said.

Doremus echoed that sentiment after signing the ’00 defender to the tender agreement.

“He fit in really well with the group and the guys were raving about him. I think it’s a culmination of what we’ve seen on the ice from a scouting perspective and being able to bring that in front of the coaches and players this week in practice,” he said.

We would like to congratulate Nathan and his family for making the decision to be a part of the Titans’ organization.
