Titans Host Knights in Division Matchup

Jan 17, 2017

MIDDLETOWN, New Jersey- The New Jersey Titans will host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights at the Middletown Sports Complex on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 7:45 p.m.

The Knights have a few players on their roster from Middletown and Titans Head Coach Craig Doremus knows there will be a little extra juice to this matchup at home.

“It’s a big game. Coach Kowal and the Knights, they compete hard every day they play against us. Obviously, they have a number of boys on their roster from the Middletown area, so you know they get juiced up for the games, and it’s always a great battle. They’re a very good hockey team, they happen to play in a very good division. But none the less if we’re not prepared, they can certainly come into Middletown and give it to us. We want to make sure we’re focused and prepared both mentally and physically for 60 minutes of battle,” said Doremus.

The Titans are 3-3 on the season versus the Knights and have split the last two matchups.

The Knights are seventh in the league in scoring but only 18th in goals allowed. The Titans will look to exploit the Knights defense on Wednesday night.

Each team has played well in their last ten games as the Titans are 6-3-0-1 and the Knights are 7-3-0-0.

The Knights sit just eight points behind the Titans in the East Division standings.

Tickets are available at the Middletown Sports Complex. Information about the Titans home games can also be reached at (732) 856-9700.
