Apr 1, 2023

The New Jersey Titans are pleased to announce that alum Max Andreev has been signed to an Amateur Tryout Agreement for the remainder of the 2022-23 season with the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League (AHL).  Andreev’s contract will turn into an AHL standard player contract for the 2023-24 season.

Andreev played with the Titans during the 2016 – 17 season and had 43 total points (12 goals and 31 assists) in 55 games played.

After playing with the Titans, he went onto play Central Illinois Aces of the United States Hockey League (USHL). He then went onto play NCAA Division 1 hockey at Cornell University where he recorded 75 total points (22 goals and 53 assists) in 99 collegiate games.

“What a great day for Max and his family” said Titans head coach and general manager Craig Doremus. “I think back to when Max initially came to the United States.  He was eager and nervous at the same time being away from his family for the first time.  Max quickly acclimated to the United States and hockey here in North America.  He was extremely goal driven and worked his butt off to achieve it.  From his time with us at the New York Bobcats, to coming to New Jersey with the Titans and then continuing his career to ultimately end up at Cornell.  I am so proud of him and the work and sacrifice him and his family has made to make it all a reality.  Congrats again to Max and his family” concluded Doremus.
