Titans add Chris Collins to scouting department

The New Jersey Titans have announced today that the team has added Chris Collins to its scouting department.

“Chris is a longtime friend” stated Director of Scouting Matt Dibble. “He and I share a lot of similarities in our desire to help kids move on through the proper channels so they can pursue whatever their goals are. I’m excited to have him help us grow our outreach and get more eyes on players” concluded Dibble.

“Chris’ reputation in the game as a player and a coach is second to none” said Assistant Coach and Assistant General Manager Bobby DiRico. “We are excited to add someone as knowledgeable as Chris, and we are looking forward to him helping us continue to build our footprint in Western New York where we already have had a lot of success” concluded DiRico.

A native of Rochester, NY, Chris Collins was a standout player at Boston College (NCAA DI). His senior year, he led the nation in scoring and was runner-up for the Hobey Baker Award. After graduation, he signed an NHL contract with the Boston Bruins and played in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Providence Bruins. Chris went on to have an eight-year professional career, signing with two different NHL organizations and playing in both the Finish and German Elite Leagues. After retiring in 2013-14, Chris returned to Rochester and Co-founded The Evolve Sports Group, a Rochester based training company specializing in Player Development and Advancement. Additionally, Chris founded the Rochester Coalition (ROCO) Midget Program which in its third season, has quickly become a success. ROCO teams are consistently ranked as a part of the top-20 teams in the nation and have placed numerous players into Division I programs.
