Craig Doremus
General Manager/Head Coach

A native of Maspeth, NY, Craig has over 30 years of hockey experience and is a Level-5 USA Hockey certified coach. Before joining the New Jersey Titans, Craig spent the previous three seasons with the Long Island Gulls and New York Bobcats hockey organization. During his time there, Craig served as a hockey director for the Gulls. He spent his last season and a half as the Head Coach and General Manager of the EHL’s New York Bobcats. He also was the coach for the Metro Moose for five seasons as well. During those five years he made three trips to the USA Hockey Nationals in addition to capturing three CHA titles. He won coach of the year during his tenure with the Moose. Craig also was an assistant coach for Christ the King High School and the New York City Empire State team. Prior to his coaching career he played at Christ the King. He also worked for the New York Rangers where he began in the marketing and youth hockey departments. Craig is a graduate of St. Johns University with a degree in Sports Management.

 


Bobby DiRico
Assistant General Manager/Assistant Coach


Queens native Bobby DiRico’s extensive coaching includes over 17 years of hockey experience and a Level 4 USA Hockey ceritification. Before joining the New Jersey Titans, Bobby spent the previous three seasons as video coordinator with the Long Island Gulls and as assistant coach and assistant general manager for the New York Bobcats. Bobby was a video consultant for the St. Louis Blues and Hockey Essentials, along with the assistant/video coach of the Metro Moose Junior B team. In Bobby’s five seasons with the Moose, the team qualified for USA Hockey Nationals three times and captured two CHA league championships. Prior to his coaching career, Bobby played at Holy Cross where he served as assistant captain his junior and senior year. Bobby is a graduate of St. Johns University with a degree in Sports Management.


George Haviland – President Director of Player Personnel

George is one of the most prominent youth coaches in the Atlantic District and boasts an impressive resume that includes 12 Atlantic District Amateur Hockey Association titles and nine trips to the USA Hockey National Championships, where he has led his teams to a medal six times.

Haviland, who began his coaching career 25 years ago with the American Eagles (now the Jersey Shore Wildcats) , also coached with the Chicago Freeze of NAHL and Trenton Titans of the ECHL  before Starting  the New Jersey Jr. Titans in 1999. Over the years, he’s helped develop a number of professional, NCAA and high-level junior standouts and has currently has placed over 750 boys and girls players into the NCAA level. He also currently has 9 NHL players or draft picks to his credit.

A co-founder of the New Jersey Titans Program, Haviland helped guide a team that had eight NCAA DI and five NCAA DIII players,  including defenseman Colby Cohen, who went on to be selected in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft (45th overall by the Colorado Avalanche  in 2007), that team was a runner-up  at the USA Hockey National Championships at the Bantam AAA  levels. Additional NHL draft picks that have played under Haviland include Anthony Stolarz (Philadelphia Flyers 2012, 2nd round), Christian Jensen (San Jose Sharks 9th round). He also has a number of free agents signing who are now part of NHL originations including Conner Clifton (Boston Bruins), Trevor VanRiemsdyk (Carolina Hurricanes), Timmy Clifton (San Jose Sharks), Ryan Walker (New Jersey Devils) and Dave DeKastrozza (Washington Capitals).

Over the pass 12 years Haviland has been guiding the Titans Tier 1 Midget 16 & 18 teams with great success not only in the win-loss column but has had overwhelming success in achieving NCAA College Commitments to like of Tommy Panico (U Mass Lowell), David Parker (Bowdien College), Nikita Nesteranko (Brown), Trey Croddick (Dartmouth), Aaron Kessleman (Princeton), Zach Berrzolla (Colorado College), Ryan Walker (Union College), Jesse Devito (University of Wisconson), Jess Haviland (Hamilton College),  Becca Foggia (Yale), Brianna Haviland (Elmira College), Dan Okeefe (Yale), Gregg Malafronte (Plattsburgh), Julian Kislin (Northeastern) and Jimmy Dowd Jr. (Penn State).

Haviland took over the Titans Pure 15 team a USA Hockey Pilot Program  and has turned it into a modern day success in College Placement in one year with the commitment of Danny Dzhaniyev (Penn State/USA National Program) and Jake Larusso (Colorado College).

George Bosak – Goaltending Coach

Professional goaltending coach with 22 years of experience. Played professionally at the minor professional level for 3 seasons. Coached AAA goaltenders for 20 seasons and coached at the NCAA Division I level for 4 seasons. Extensive record of training goaltenders that have developed into junior, collegiate, and professional goaltenders.

Matt Dibble
Director of Scouting

A native of Buffalo, NY, Matt is excited to be back for his second season with the New Jersey Titans Program. Prior to his time with the Titans, Matt spent a year as a special consultant for the WB/Scranton Knights of the NAHL and as a scout for the Rochester Jr. Americans of the USPHL. Matt owns and operates Roc City Elite Hockey (summer hockey), and attends all the big summer events. He has worked directly with many NAHL players that have seen success and reached an NCAA level, and is happy to continue to do that with the Titans. Matt is excited to help the Titans identify players in the Northeast Region, including NY, MA, PA, CT, and Canada. Additionally, Matt will help with direct oversight of the NAPHL, attending multiple NAPHL events.


Matt Kiernan
Scout
Currently the Co-Owner, President and Director of Hockey Operations for the NJ 87s of the Eastern Hockey League Premier  and EHL Tier III Junior Hockey teams, Matt is presently a scout for the New Jersey Titans. He has 10 years of coaching experience at the Mite-Midget level including Tier I and Tier II while  leading his U14 Tier II Girls team as a runner up in the USA Hockey Nationals in 2014.  He played four years NCAA Division III hockey at University of Scranton, and has over 20 years experience as an equity derivatives trader, formerly vice-president Goldman Sachs, founder and principal owner Stuyvesant Trading and partner Integral Derivatives.

Adam Houli
Scout
Adam is currently Co-Owner, General Manager and Head Coach of the New Jersey 87s of the EHL and EHLP. He served as a coach in the Atlantic District Development Program for the last seven years, and was an assistant coach at The Gunnery Prep team from 2011-2013, and is currently the head coach of the Manasquan high school varsity team.  Adam played four years of NCAA Division III hockey at Trinity College, two years in the Federal Hockey League.

Justin Friedman
Scout

Justin is a native of Central New Jersey and has been involved in hockey for most of his life.  He went into coaching after his playing career and has brought 15-plus years of coaching experience with the Mercer Chiefs, New Jersey Devils Youth, New Jersey Jr. Titans and now the New Jersey 87s, Justin has worked from the Mite Level all the way up the Eastern Hockey League, and has coached High School Hockey in New Jersey that includes a State Championship at Ramsey High School in the 2008-09 season.  Justin is an owner and director of scouting for NorthStar Elite Hockey’s Elite AAA Spring and Summer program and was instrumental in the program’s participation in the U15 World Selects Invitational.  Justin handles scouting in all areas of the country and specializes in scouting the Minnesota State High School League.


Dave Bush
Canadian Scout

A native of Ajax, Ontario, Dave played five years of junior hockey with the Pickering Panthers. During that time, he was named the team’s Rookie of the Year, Best Defenseman and Most Valuable Player. Dave then played two years in the OUA with the Ryerson Rams. While playing junior hockey, he was also a power skating instructor for the Frank Miller Power Skating School. Dave has coached minor hockey in Dundas, Ontario for over nine years. Most recently, he has scouted for the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the SJHL and is currently scouting for the Campbellton Tigers of the MHL.
