Schedule released for NAHL Showcase

Jul 25, 2018

The North American Hockey League announced its schedule for the 2018 Showcase that will take place in Baine, Minnesota.

From September 19-22, all 24 teams in the NAHL will compete in four games at the Schwan Super Rink as part of the regular season schedule. While it gives teams a chance to games outside their divisions, it also provides the players an opportunity to perform in front of a wide array of college coaches and scouts in hopes of securing a college commitment.

“Our mission is keep setting the bar higher and higher and events like the NAHL Showcase have become the gold standard for evaluating hockey’s best prospects. It is the Greatest Show on Ice and truly representative of why the NAHL is the League of Opportunity,” said NAHL Commissioner and President Mark Frankenfeld prior to last year’s showcase.

The Titans earned its first three wins of the season in last year’s showcase. After dropping two games against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, New Jersey went on to defeat the Lone Star Brahmas, Topeka RoadRunners and Coulee Region Chill before losing to the Aberdeen Wings in the final day of the event. This season, the Titans will head to Minnesota after a pair of road games against the newly-established Maryland Black Bears.
