The New Jersey Titans are excited to announce that Ryan Naumovski has committed to play Division I hockey at Niagara University.

Naumovski is a native of Shelby Township, Mich. and is playing in his first season with the Titans. In 52 games this season, Naumovski has 46 points (17 goals, 29 assists). Titans head coach Craig Doremus spoke about Naumovski, who joins the long list of players who have committed to play at the collegiate level.

“We couldn’t be more proud or happy for Ryan and his family. He has worked extremely hard at his craft this season and I am so happy that he was able to achieve his dreams,” said Doremus. “In his first year in New Jersey, he has developed nicely and has rounded out his game to become a complete 200-foot player. We look forward to Ryan being a major part of our team as we enter the Robertson Cup playoffs and can’t wait to follow him in the future at Niagara.”

The Niagara Purple Eagles is a Division I program that plays under the Atlantic Hockey Conference, and is coached by Jason Lammers. Naumovski spoke about his commitment and how much it means for him to become a part of the program.

“Playing hockey has always been my passion, being able to continue my career at the D-I college level is a dream come true,” Naumovski said. “It’s what I’ve worked towards since I can remember. I feel very fortunate to be apart of Niagara University and I can’t wait to see what the future brings for my hockey and academics as a Purple Eagle.”

Earlier this season, Naumovski represented the Titans in one of the NAHL Selects teams–a roster picked by NHL scouts–during the Top Prospects Tournament in Plymouth, Mich. The 18-year-old forward also spoke about his season thus far with the Titans and how he has developed with the organization.

“Coming in during the summer, I was the smallest one here, but Craig and Bobby really helped me overcome that by going over the little things, whether it’s chipping the puck out, winning faceoffs, bearing down in games,” he said. “Craig really took me under his wing has helped me become a better person both on and off the ice.”

The Titans organization would like to congratulate Ryan and his family as he prepares to continue his hockey career at the Division I collegiate level.
