CUSANELLI NETS HAT TRICK IN 6-0 WIN OVER KNIGHTS

Oct 3, 2015

MIDDLETOWN – Holmdel native Anthony Cusanelli netted a natural hat trick and Jack Berry stopped all 26 pucks en route to a 6-0 victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.

Cusanelli opened the scoring by rifling a puck past the glove hand of Grant Valentine to give the Titans the lead 1-0. Keegan Miller assisted on Cusanelli's fourth of the season.

In the second period, Cusanelli skated through the neutral zone after a change by the Knights and dished a pass to Daktoa Ford who backhanded a shot off the post and into the back of the net for a 2-0 Titans advantage.

After the intermission, the Titans kept their foot on the gas pedal.

Cusanelli would start the four-gaol third with his second of the game. Jesse Farabee and Adam Hascic were credited with the helpers.

The Knights turned the puck over midway through the period, which resulted in a 2-on-1 with Greg Malafronte and Brad Becker. Becker would finish a pass from Malafronte to increase the lead to 4-0.

On the power play, Hascic would find an open Cuasnelli in the slot and he roof a puck past Valentine for the hat trick.

Defenseman Davis Sebald would score a short-handed empty net goal with just over six minutes to play to seal the Titans sixth straight victory.

Cusanelli finished with four points on the night and now leads the Titans with 10 points.
