A Letter from New Jersey General Manager Craig Doremus

May 20, 2023

Dear, Fans, Staff, Current and Former Players, and the Community

As we begin to formally move towards the 2023/2024 campaign, I wanted to reach out to everyone in our New Jersey Titans community and say thank you for all of your support this past year and throughout the many years of North American Hockey League action in Middletown, New Jersey.  It takes a village to build and have a successful franchise in the NAHL and our entire community including players, parents, fans, supporters, sponsors, owners, and staff all play a huge role in doing so.  I am blessed to work with and for some of the very best people in their respective industries.

While we failed to repeat as Robertson Cup champions this year, we continued to display that we are a force to be reckoned with and made the Robertson Cup playoffs for the eighth consecutive season and we are still the only franchise in the eastern division to qualify for the playoffs in every season since the Eastern Division of the North American Hockey League was formed.  We have continued to take such pride in our young student athletes who move on to college hockey.  This year’s team will put another 15 plus players into college, and we look forward to watching them continue to thrive at the next level on and off the ice.

We are excited about the thought of next season.  The staff and I are extremely busy and working hard to put the best team together that we possibly can that will represent our Titans culture the right way.  The Middletown Sports Complex continues to grow and develop and in our opinion is one of the very best facilities in youth and junior hockey.

Next on tap for our hockey operations staff is our pre-draft camp June 2, 3 and 4 at the Middletown Sports Complex.  We will welcome many new faces coming to try out for a spot at our main camp later in July.  After the pre-draft camp we will focus on a huge part of our roster construction, the North American League Entry draft on June 14. We will select some very talented young men to add to the group competing for a spot to be on the 2023/2024 New Jersey Titans.  Main camp will be in late July before the team reports to Middletown for training camp in August.

We look forward to announcing our schedule for next season including the 2023 NAHL Blaine Showcase in September.  We will have more information coming out shortly regarding season tickets, promotional nights and other great events with the New Jersey Titans and the Middletown Sports Complex.

Next year we take the ice with a refocused mission on reclaiming the Robertson Cup and returning it to New Jersey.  It takes a tremendous amount of work to do so, and we are proud and glad to have all of you on our side as we chase history.

Thanks again for your continued support and dedication.

We greatly appreciate all of it.

Sincerely,

Craig Doremus
