Titans make it three in a row with wins over Topeka and Coulee Region

The New Jersey Titans are riding a three-game winning streak with a 6-1 victory over the Topeka RoadRunners on Thursday and a 4-1 win over the Coulee Region Chill on Friday afternoon.

Ryan Naumovski led the charge in the win over Coulee Region with a goal and two assists. Tyler Antonucci scored the go-ahead goal while Matthew Cameron tacked on an empty-netter with 33 seconds remaining in the game. Brandon Perrone earned the win and bumped his record to 2-1-1.

Kyle Jeffers opened the scoring with a goal in the first period. Marshal Plunkett evened the score with a goal 7:37 into the second period, but Tyler Antonucci responded with a goal of his own just two minutes and 17 seconds later.

In the third period, Naumovski added an insurance marker at 5:42. The scored remained 3-1 until Cameron added the empty-netter with half of a minute remaining in the game.

On Thursday, it was Hunter Alden who shined in the 6-1 win over the RoadRunners, picking up two goals and an assist. Tate Singleton opened the scoring with the lone goal in the first period, and the Titans would go on to score two more in the second with tallies from Alden and Cameron.

Topeka reduced their deficit to 3-1 with a late second-period goal from Nick Granowicz, but New Jersey roared back in the third with three more goals. Wade Novak and Oliver MacDonald scored just 51 seconds apart midway in the third while Alden notched his second goal of the game with a shorthanded tally. Goaltender Matt Ladd earned the win in his first start as a Titan and made 26 saves on 27 shots.

With one game remaining in the showcase, the Titans will go for the sweep as they face the Aberdeen Wings tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. EST. The game will be streamed on HockeyTV.com
