Player Spotlight: Andrew Durham

Nov 18, 2015

This past week the Titans played Aston Rebels and Center, No. 15 Andrew Durham, scored two goals with an assist. As a result, he was named an honorable mention in this week's Easton Stars of the Week.

Andrew is from Plano, Texas and has a younger brother who is 16.  He started playing roller hockey when he was 5 years and has had a love of the sport since.  Andrew is also part of the NJ Titans Sports & Bullying Team that travels to local elementary schools and speaks with students in third-grade through fifth-grade about sports and bullying.

Durham has played in 19 games so far this season scoring four goals along with eight assists for 12 points total. He also boasts a plus/minus rating of plus two.

In the last five games, Durham leads the team with six points and is tied with Victor Ostling for the most goals with three each.

Andrew has his goal set on college hockey where he plans to study psychology so he can be a counselor/therapist for kids with mental issues.  When asked what he missed most about home his quick was response “wakeboarding daily and Mexican food”

With his good looks and southern charm, Andrew is a fan favorite not only with Titan fans but his team as well where he is Assistant Captain.    When asked what his favorite part of being a Titan he immediately said “the characters in the dressing room”.  All Titans have a great sense of humor that they share with each other.

Andrew is an asset to the NJ Titans both on and off the ice. He is not only a great hockey player, but also friend and teammate.  He is a role model for up and coming hockey players with his can do attitude.
