EHL WEEKEND RECAP

Oct 1, 2014

The EHL team had three games this past weekend. Friday night's game started off in a unquie way, as the previous time the Rockets and Titans met, the game had ended in a tie.  However, the referee's were not aware of the new rule change, whereby after 5 minutes of 4on4 overtime, the game would be decided by a shootout. So before the start ofFriday's game against the rockets there was a shootout to decide who receives the extra point.  The Titans won the shootout on a nice move from Andrew Yasenchock and a spectacular save from Michael Dephillips. The night was not over, the Titans then went to fall to the Rockets 3-2, Dylan Sobczyk and Cian Derder scored for the Titans.

On Saturday the Titans traveled to Philadelphia to play the Revolution. The officiating was very strict as they called 20 penalties in the game. The Titans scored 2 powerplay goals one from Rich McCartney and Adam Morton, and there third coming even strength by Ryan Price. Goaltender Mike Dephillips made 17 saves in the Titans 3-2 victory.

The Titans final game of the weekend was Sunday against the Revolution to finish off the 2 game series at home. It was a back and forth game until the third were the Revolution scored 4 unanswerd goals. The Titans lost 5-1 with there only goal coming from Ryan Price.
