EHL Open Camp This Weekend in Middletown

The Titan’s Eastern Hockey League (EHL) team has their first open camp this weekend, June 20-22, at Middletown Ice World. The EHL is one of the premier tier 3 junior a leagues in the United States. The league formed last season when teams from the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) merged with the Atlantic Junior Hockey League (AJHL), which the Titans were already a part of. The Titans finished the 2013-14 season with a 10-31-3 record in 44 regular season games. That was good enough to make playoffs, where the Titans lost in the second round to the Manchester Junior Monarchs, who eventually lost in the finals. The Titans only have a few returners from last year’s team, highlighted by forward Ryan Price and young goaltender Michael DePhillips. This year the team will also bring up a few MetJHL players, including goaltender Trevor Ralph, defenseman Dom De La Guardia, forward Brian Miller, and forward Andrew Yasenchock. The team has also recruited a good group of new players, and looks to improve from last year’s squad. The team also has a new head coach, Brandon Kape. Kape coached the MetJHL the last 2 seasons and looks to translate his success into his brand new EHL team. The team still has spots available and are looking for good players either 20 years of age or younger. If you think you have what it takes to wear the red bucket for the Titans EHL team, come out to Middletown Ice World this weekend! Go to jrtitans2.com for more information.
