Brody Medeiros signs tender agreement with the Titans

May 10, 2018

The New Jersey Titans are pleased to announce that Brody Medeiros has signed a tender agreement with the team for the 2018-19 season.

Medeiros is a 19-year-old defenseman from Denver, Colorado. He spent the 2017-18 season with the Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League where he recorded five goals and 17 assists in 54 games. Medeiros spoke about the tender agreement and his excitement on continuing his hockey career in the Garden State.

“Signing in the NAHL is a great achievement. It is a great league that allows players to compete at the highest level and be seen by the best schools,” he said. “My perspective is that the Titans organization is very structured allowing for great team success. I have been very pleased in my conversations with Coach Doremus and his interest in moving players to the next level. I am excited to be a Titan.”

Gary Biggs, the Titans Director of Scouting, talked about Medeiros’ skill set and what he believes the blue-liner can bring to the team next season.

“After playing a full season in the AJHL, Brody provides experience to our blue line that we were looking to add,” Biggs said. “He is a steady defender who is hard to beat one-one-one. His offensive upside was another thing that appealed to us, especially with the departure of players like Tyler Antonucci and Ryan Wheeler.”

The Titans would like to congratulate Brody and his family on his decision to become a part of the organization.
